Enjoy your Chicken Pizza with a glass of homemade iced tea. It’s a simple and complete non-alcoholic drink. The ultimate refresher.

Ingredients

  • 4 bags of black tea (or 3 tablespoons of loose-leaf tea)
  • 4 cups of boiling water
  • 4 cups of cold water
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, honey, or simple syrup (adjusted to your preferred sweetness)
  • 1 large lemon, sliced into rounds
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Ice cubes (plenty of them)

Instructions

  • Place your tea bags or loose-leaf tea into a large, heat-safe pitcher or bowl. Pour the 4 cups of boiling water directly over the tea.
  • Allow the tea to steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Do not leave it much longer, or the tea can become bitter. Remove and discard the tea bags or strain out the loose leaves.
  • While the tea is still hot, add your sugar, honey, or simple syrup. Stir thoroughly until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
  • Pour the remaining 4 cups of cold water into the pitcher and stir well. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 1 to 2 hours until it is thoroughly chilled.
  • Fill tall glasses generously with ice cubes. Pour the chilled iced tea over the ice, garnish with fresh lemon slices and a sprig of mint, and serve immediately.
